The Dark Blue 100 Ride Bus Ticket

Author Description of Book:
Image result for the dark blue 100 ride bus ticket
When Carlo and his mother Jessica, accept a free bus ticket from a strange old woman in the supermarket, they are really only being polite. Secretly they think she must be slightly batty, with her talk about a hundred free bus rides to the supermarket at the end of the world. How absurd! And yet, right outside their supermarket, which is of the most ordinary, everyday kind, a Number 13 bus pulls up... dark and blue and with gold stars, just like the ticket.
Feeling suddenly adventurous, Jessica and Carlo take their seats... and nothing turn out the way you would except.

Because the wonderful supermarket is real- but so are the horrible Dowlers, who are plotting and scheming to destroy it. What begins with fun and laughter becomes violent and dangerous, and the courage of a pair of resourceful children will be needed if the horrible, howling Dowlers are to be defeated.

The Amazing World of Wonder!

What the book is about:
The wonder book is about a boy with a "deformed" face going through middle school.

At first the principal has asked a few students (Julian, Jack and Charlotte) to show Auggie around the school. Everything was going well until Julian decided to mess it up by asking Auggie what happened to his face because it looked like he was in a fire. So Charlottle and Jack came to the rescue and protected Auggie.

Image result for wonder book breacher prepThe first day of school finally came and August entered the day with a lot of stares from the other students. No one would talk to him, well except for Julian and Charlotte.
He was eating alone at lunch until a girl named Summer decided to sit with him. At first Auggie thought it's because she's been asked to sit with him, but she reassuringly told him that she just wanted to sit with him.

Halloween came and everyone in Breacher Prep was all dressed up. Auggie's mum made him a costume but Auggie decided to change his costume at the last minute, because he found out Julian was wearing a costume that was somehow connected to the costume he was going to wear.
Image result for wonder book jackWhen Auggie got to school he went to his classroom and over heard Julian's group talking about him (they didn't recognise him cause he was wearing a costume that covered his face). He was hurt when he heard Jack talk rubbish about him. He and Jack were really good friends and it just hurt him.

Auggie ignored Jack after hearing that. Jack noticed this and he didn't know why, so he decided to ask Summer but all Summer said was "Bleeding Scream".
A few days later, Jack said sorry after realising what he said and they became best friends again.

Breacher Prep went to watch a movie at a cornfield, this was meant to be a fun activity for their camp but some older students from other school decided to make fun of Auggie and Julian's friends ( Amos, Miles and Henry) got into a fight with the older kids.
Image result for wonderAfter the incident at the cornfield the girls from Breacher Prep were asking Auggie if he was okay and when they got back to school a lot of students started interacting with Auggie.

In the end everything was great and everyone was happy. Not a lot of people were being mean to Auggie. So I can say that it was a happy ever after ending.
