Last Day of Drama

What have I learnt?
I've learnt the different types of jobs in a musical theatre. (The jobs that happen behind the scenes)

How does this work show my learning?
We made backgrounds to show that we learnt something about a being in a musical theatre. We also used these backgrounds for our performance.

What did I find challenging?
I found performing on the stage very challenging. I'm not really a big fan of performing in front of many people.

What did I enjoy?
I enjoyed learning a new song from a movie.

What am I wondering?
I'm wondering if our performance would be better if we added movements.

What will I do next time?
Next time I would want us to dance a little bit instead of just standing there.

What was it like performing on the day?
Image result for you're welcome moana gifI didn't want to go up on stage due to my stage frights, but the show had to go on so I gathered all of my courage and went up on stage.

Musical Theatre Research

Task 1:

Group Song:
'You're Welcome' from Moana.

What is the song about?
The song is about Mau's accomplishments as 'the hero of men'.

What is difficult about singing this song?
The difficult part about singing this song is the rap. You have to say the words clearly and loud, and you also have to sound enthusiastic.

How are you feeling about your performance?
I'm feeling a little nervous about our performance. Performing in front of a lot of audiences is pretty nerve-wracking, especially if you're singing a song and you're in the front line.

The story of Maui:

Who is Maui?
Maui is the great culture hero and trickster Polynesian mythology.

Mindmup (Drama/Music)

Task 2

Mindmup:

Paragraph:
The lighting crew are expected to check the perimeters of the lights and the colours it changes too. There are also people that need to check the sound system like the microphones. The costume designers need to create the costumes and get all the costume ready before the actors arrive in 1 hour, they also have to check all the costumes before the actors go out to perform. Once the actors get to the theatre they have a voice and physical warm up, they then have to go to their dressing rooms to get their make up done and to get in their costumes.

Musical Theatre

What does live performance mean?
A live performance could be a performance like a concert or musical.

What could go wrong in a live performance?
The actors could get sick on the day of the performance.
The performers could mess up their scripts.
Props could get broken before the performance starts.

What did you like about this performance? Write more than one point!
I like how they performed with so much energy and how they sang.

Fiddler on the Roof

Teyve the poor Jewish milkman with 5 children, explains the custom of the Jews in the Russian village of Anatevka in 1905, where their lives are as precious as the perch of a fiddler on a roof.

Drama 2/9/17

Image result for nemo
Today we played 2 games in Drama. The first game was called "Nemo", the rules were that one person was Marlin (Nemo's dad), and that they would go outside the door or they would go to a certain place where they can't see where the others players are. Then the leaders will pick someone to be Nemo(Marlin's son), then once they are done picking the person to be Nemo, everyone has to run around and pretend to be Nemo. The game keeps on going until Nemo has been found.
