Pyramids

Experts say that Egyptians who built the pyramids might've been able to move massive stone blocks across the desert by wetting the sand in front of a contraption built to pull heavy objects. They also say that the amount of water necessary depends on the type of sand because if the sand is too dry it won't work as well, but if the sand is too wet it won't work either.

The pyramid was believed to be built as a tomb for the Fourth Dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Khufu, and his vizier was believed to be the architect of his pyramid. Pyramids were built as tombs for the pharaoh's and their queens and were usually built out of limestone.

Facts:
-The Great Pyramid of Giza points very precisely to the North.
-The base of a pyramid was always a perfect square.
-They would put traps and curses inside the pyramids to keep robbers out.
-The Great Pyramid of Giza is part of the Seven Wonders of the World.
-When The Great Pyramid of Giza was first built it was over 480 ft tall.
