What was your speech about?

My speech was about Social Media and its positives and negatives.

What are you proud of?

I was proud that I had the courage to present it even though I really hate speaking in front of people I don't usually hang out with.

What would you change next time?

Next time I think I should memorize more sentences and use props or hand gestures.

Ancient Egyptian Inventions

The Pyramids

Between 2667-2648 BC, the oldest pyramid was built for King Zoser. It is the oldest stone structure that we know of. 

In the modern world, people don't build pyramids like this anymore, instead, they make houses or buildings. People use pyramids like this for tourists to take pictures at or use it to attract people from around the world.

Toothpaste

The Egyptians had a lot of trouble when it came to their teeth because their bread had grit and sand in it, which wore out their enamel (thin outer layer covering the tooth) and so they used the powder of ox hooves, ashes, burnt eggshells and pumice (a volcanic rock that has a rough texture of volcanic glass and it may or may not have crystals in it) to make toothpaste to clean their teeth with. 

Nowadays our toothpaste is made out of hydrated silica (a form of silicon dioxide, which has a variable amount of water in the formula), hydrated alumina (a crystalline, water-soluble powder), calcium carbonate and dicalcium phosphates. But just like the Egyptians, it is also used to clean our teeth and get rid of the pieces of food that might've been stuck in our teeth. Toothpaste nowadays isn't just for the rich, it is for everyone to use.

They made art to represent the people, tools, and animals.

This picture to me represents humans, and it kinda
looks like they are wearing some sort of traditional clothing.

 This is a plan of what I was going to include in my drawing. The story behind it is that there are 2 people hunting the animals.

This is the finished product. These are drawings of what my friends and I painted on the walls. 

There are people, animals, and fire included in this.

The tools found in paintings were usually used for hunting or for daily tasks like digging or breaking things.

Device Usage - Tech & Change

These 2 graphs are about device usage in 10Bu. The bar graph on the left is about the screen time of each individual student. While the pie graph on the left is about the most used device that the students in this class use.

This is a timeline about the history of phones. It has the starting point of phones and also has a short description of each phone and how its features have developed over time.

Enterprise Studies - Water Scarcity

What went well?

I think the way we managed to come up with an idea that wouldn't harm nature was really good. 

What didn't go well?

I think what didn't go well was when not everyone was participating or helping in doing the work.

What would you do differently next time?

Next time I think we should improve on how the shower filter works. Like taking into consideration that strong chemicals might end up in the shower. 

School Uniform - English Essay

I have not yet finished my whole essay but this is what I have so far:

School Uniform

Have you heard about the debate going around? People are debating whether to get rid of school uniforms or to keep them. In this essay I will tell you the cons of wearing school uniforms such as school uniforms take away the freedom of expression, costing too much, and it does not allow individuality.

 School uniforms do not let you express yourself. This is because the students around you are wearing the same thing as you. Even though uniforms have different styles for both boys and girls such as a blouse and skirt for girls and a polo shirt and shorts/pants for boys, they are still the same color and style for every student in school. Even in other countries, all school uniforms look the same as the rest of the uniforms in the world. 

 School uniforms cost too much. When I started school my uniform cost $140 and that was only for a blouse and a skirt, if I was to buy my full school uniform then it would cost me $440 altogether. On average school uniforms cost $104.
