You Won't Believe What Happens in DTE!

In DTE we had done a lot of activities, which were: Making our own website, creating an infographic about Ergonomics, exploring Interland, making an infographic about the Manaiakilani website, and Digital Bytes.


Creating our Website:

We created our website using Google Sites.

Our website had to include three pages and their sub-pages.

Ergonomics:

Ergonomics: Ergonomics is the way equipment or furniture is placed so that people can work or do activities more efficiently and comfortably.

Interland

Interland is a game that teaches you internet safety and gives you helpful tips on what to do if a problem occurs during your time online.

Levels:

Kind Kingdom: "It's Cool to Be Kind"

To be successful in this game you need to get to the top of the kingdom while spreading love and kindness. You are to pick up 'tools' to send kindness to other 'Internauts' and to block troublemakers.

Reality River: "Don't Fall for Fake"

The goal of this level is to get to the other side of the lake without getting phished by the 'phisher'. You are asked a question and there will be 2 or 3 answers that you will choose from. You have to pick the correct answer to move onto the next question. If you answer wrong you will not move onto the next question until you get it right.

Mindful Mountain: "Share With Care"
In order to succeed in this level, you will have to share the contents it gives you to the right people. Use the mirrors to reach your specified audience. Also, be aware of the 'oversharer' at all cost.

Tower of Treasure: "Secure Your Secrets"
The aim of this level is to collect your 'online' valuables and don't 'drop' them as you make your way across to the next stage. If you drop your valuable then the 'hackers' will steal your valuables.
-Note that Interland is meant to teach you online safety and is not meant to harm you in any way.


Cybersmart

We were given the task of making an infographic about the Manaiakilani website.


 

Reflection: This site was useful because it is able to teach people how to properly use the internet and how to keep safe if anything ever goes wrong.

Digital Bytes

Digital Bytes teaches people digital citizenship through topical, collaborative activities.
