I think we still talk about the Treaty of Waitangi as it was a historical moment in the history of New Zealand and it is what created a relationship between Maori and Europeans.
Should we still celebrate Waitangi Day every year?
I think celebrating is important because it is a good idea to celebrate something that made New Zealand, New Zealand.
